What is trust after a lie?

This entry describes trust after a lie as something rebuilt from checkable behavior: the facts that were hidden, an end to the cover story, and a stretch of time in which the same kind of hidden act does not recur. It notes that telling the truth starts the repair and does not by itself restore the trust that was spent.

What this entry does not do

It does not promise that any lie can be repaired, and it does not require the person who was lied to to stay.
