What is taking things personally?

This entry describes taking things personally as hearing a spouse's mood, a missed chore, or a short answer as a judgment on one's worth. It notes that the leap can be fast and familiar, and that the other person's act still has to be named as what it was, not only as what it felt like.

What this entry does not do

It does not say the feeling is imaginary, and it does not replace the entry on mind-reading.
