What is a renewal of vows?
This entry describes a renewal of vows as a later ceremony in which the couple says the promises again, after years, a repair, or a wish to mark the marriage in public. It notes that the rite does not rewrite the original wedding, and that it does not by itself repair a grievance still unnamed.
What this entry does not do
It does not say a couple should renew vows, and it does not claim the rite repairs an injury.
