What is parallel parenting?
This entry describes parallel parenting as an arrangement after a high-conflict parting in which each parent cares for the children during their own time, with little joint decision and little contact between the adults. It notes that the point is to spare the children the adults' fight, and that it is not the same as a friendly shared plan.
What this entry does not do
It is not a custody plan, and it does not replace the entry on a high-conflict divorce.
