What about friends of the opposite sex?
This entry describes the usual dispute about friends of the opposite sex: one-to-one time, private messages, what is told to the friend and not the spouse, and whether the friendship is named inside the marriage. It treats a friendship as a set of facts the couple can describe, not as proof of loyalty or of an affair.
What this entry does not do
It does not ban such friendships or decide that a named friendship is an emotional affair.
