What is living apart together?
This entry describes living apart together as a chosen arrangement in which a couple remains a couple but keeps two homes, rather than a temporary split caused by a fight or a job posting. It notes what the arrangement has to name: money, overnights, illness, and how each person explains the setup to family.
What this entry does not do
It does not treat separate homes as a failure, and it does not replace the entry on living with parents.
