How do we set limits with in-laws?
This entry lists common points of friction with parents and in-laws: visits, criticism, childcare, money, and unannounced advice. It describes a limit as a specific request about time, information, or decisions, spoken by the couple or by the spouse whose parents are involved.
What this entry does not do
It does not teach a script for cutting off a family, and it does not treat cultural duty as something to insult.
