What is immigration for a marriage?
This entry describes immigration and a marriage as the way a visa, a status, or a move across a border can sit inside the couple, including who may stay and who depends on the marriage for that stay. It notes that a lawful status is not the same as the choice to be married, and that the dependence can be named without treating the marriage as only a document.
What this entry does not do
It is not immigration advice, and it does not replace the entry on moving cities or countries.
