What are conflict styles?
This entry describes conflict styles as the repeating ways two people enter a disagreement: pursuing, withdrawing, yielding, or trying to solve the problem. It treats a style as a habit that can be named, not as a verdict on who loves the marriage more.
What this entry does not do
It does not assign a couple a type, and it does not say one style is proof of a better marriage.
