What is a blended family?
This entry describes a blended family as a household in which at least one adult brings a child from an earlier relationship, so that new adult and sibling ties have to be built beside the old ones. It lists the usual points of friction: names, discipline, loyalty, and where the child lives.
What this entry does not do
It is not a stepfamily therapy plan and does not give custody law.
